For many years now discerning fishermen have made the five-bedroom lodge their home. The spacious living area speaks of old-world charm, with an open fireplace and traditional Rayburn anthracite stove keeping things cosy. It’s here that you’ll pull up an armchair, sip on a dram, tie a fly and tell the tale of the one that got away. In anguish, naturally.
Relax at the Self Catering Trout Fly Fishing Lodge
Sumptuous finishes can be found in every corner of Welgemoed Trout Lodge, however, after a day’s fly fishing it’s the under-floor heating and 100 per cent goose down duvets that are paid the most compliments.
The self-catering kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, cutlery and crockery. Sure there’s DSTV (bring your own decoder/smart card), but you probably won’t be watching much as the large wrap-around veranda offers unsurpassed views and a peacefulness that is only punctuated by the splashes coming from the nearby river.
